Testimonial: Gesa from Germany

My friend asked me to join her on this trip through the Morrocan Desert. I have to admit that I was a bit sceptical since this wasn’t the kind of trip I was used to doing. Scorpions, Cobras, area safety, heat, no running water, just to mention a few things that popped up in my head when she talked about it.

Thinking back, ever since I was a young girl the whole African continent had a special attraction to me. Over the years somehow I lost my interest in going there… Why? I really have no idea.

So I decided to join her, and do something different. And what can I say?

Walking through the desert, experiencing the pure beauty of the Sahara and being part of a real caravan with warmhearted and lovely crew members made this trip simply unforgettable. The crew members made it possible to let me dive into their culture and it still fills me up with great thankfulness.

I’ve seen and learned so many new things, like baking bread in the sand…

This trip showed me the pictures in real, that I only knew from old picturebooks of my childhood.
